IDB WILL PROVIDE TECHNICAL COOPERATION TO CREATE NATIONAL LOGISTICS PLAN

Panama, 25th  August.

Delegates of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)  were met with representatives of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), in order to coordinate actions to follow, with a National Logistic Plan Creation; which impulse Panama as a Logistic International Quality Center.

The meeting, which is within the framework of cooperation between the IDB and the Republic of Panama, It is denominated “Panama Logistics Support Plan ", initiated with the elaboration of the work plan to follow, to meet the target of investment in Panama; as the most important Logistics Hub in the region.

In this regard, Mr. Carlos Ernesto González De La Lastra, explained that a Working Committee has been established in the PMA to continue with this topic, where they develop several projects, such as the creation of a Logistics National Secretariat, a National Law of logistics, among others.

The meeting,was attended by the IDB, Mr. Juan Manuel Leaño, Mr. Sergio Quiros Navas, Daniela de Zachrisson; as for the PMA , Mr. Carlos Ernesto González de La Lastra, Mrs. Gicela Rachel Kinkead, Mrs. Migdalia Jaén, Mr. José Miguel Rovira and Mr. Héctor Mendoza.
