THE PANAMA MARITIME AUTHORITY AND THE BANGLADESH MARITIME MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
The Panama Maritime Authority and the Transportation Department of the Ministry of Bangladesh Republic signed a Memorandum of Understanding, that constitutes and establish the bases for the cooperation between both Administrations.
This Agreement seeks to strengthen the bilateral support in security on board the ships, to protect Seafarers, in Maritime Training, Education and Research for the development cooperation in order to reduce the threat of Piracy and with the exchange of information in maritime issues and mutual interest for the parties.
In representation of the Maritime Transportation Department of the Republic of Bangladesh, it was in the act of signature of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Director-General Mr. Zakiur Rahman Bhuiyan and on the part of the Panama Maritime Authority, the Director-General Mr. Jose Rogelio Hernandez from the Seafarers Department.
And with the sign of this instrument Framework Cooperation, ties are promoted to reinforce the support in this issues interest, for the grow and development of both Administrations, trough the cooperation areas described
