JAPAN VICE MINISTER OF LAND, INFRASTRUCTURE, TRANSPORT AND TOURISM, MAKES CORTESY VISIT TO THE PMA

 

Japan vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, S.E. Kotaro Nogami, made a courtesy visit to the Panama Maritime Authority, to thank the support to IMO and talks about mutual issues of concern about the International Maritime Sector.

The Director of Merchant Marine, Mr. Alfonso Castillero and the Director of Port, Mr. Rogelio Barsallo, they welcomed the Deputy Minister and the Diplomatic Corps Accompanying him where had to exchange ideas about different issues of bilateral interest.

The Vice Minister emphasized that:” the relation between Panama and Japan has been very close and grateful to the PMA for the support to the IMO and waiting follow support in between both countries, stressing that Panama as a Logistic Point that connects the different worldwide Maritime Transport Route always has been of great importance for Japan”.

Panama, as a power in relation to the World Wide Maritime Industry always had a close relationship with the Japanese Shipowners Asociation and especially by the flag of ships, is a national interest to promote all initiatives in order to enhance the economic development opportunities.
