Con profunda tristeza, se confirma el fallecimiento de dos personas a raíz del naufragio de la embarcación “GASPAR”.
La nave zarpó ayer, 18 de abril de 2025, desde el muelle de Isla Perico con destino a la comunidad de San Miguel, en el Archipiélago de Las Perlas, provincia de Panamá.
De acuerdo con información oficial, 23 personas se encontraban a bordo. Lamentablemente, dos perdieron la vida, 20 fueron rescatadas y una permanece desaparecida.
La AMP ha iniciado de inmediato las investigaciones pertinentes para esclarecer las responsabilidades de este trágico suceso y adoptar medidas correctivas urgentes que prevengan futuras tragedias similares.
Asimismo, la institución se ofrece a colaborar plenamente con las autoridades competentes (Servicio Nacional Aeronaval, Ministerio Público, entre otros) en el proceso investigativo.
La Autoridad Marítima de Panamá hace un llamado enfático a pasajeros y operadores de embarcaciones sobre la importancia de cumplir rigurosamente las normas de seguridad durante la navegación, con el objetivo primordial de proteger la vida humana.

Official reports indicate that there were 23 people aboard. Tragically, two lives were lost, 20 individuals were rescued, and one person remains missing.
The Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) has promptly launched a thorough investigation to determine the causes of this tragic incident and to implement urgent corrective actions aimed at preventing similar tragedies in the future.
Furthermore, the institution is committed to full collaboration with the relevant authorities, including the National Air and Naval Service and the Public Ministry, throughout the investigation process.
The PMA urgently appeals to both passengers and vessel operators to strictly adhere to all safety regulations during navigation, underscoring that the paramount goal is the preservation of human life.
